Adromischus herrei (Adromischus marianae f. herrei)
19.95 CAD
This rare and unusual succulent has short, cylindrical leaves in shades of green, reddish-brown or purple. Each elongated leaf has irregular grooves and texture adding to its appeal. Small tubular flowers appear on slender stalks late summer to fall. Adromischus is a seasonal grower. Its prime growing season is spring with a little spurt of growth in the fall when the heat of summer subsides and the plant initiates flowering. Grow in nearly full sun for best color. Once mature, Adromischus makes an attractive swollen root or small caudex. In the heat of summer and the cold of winter, keep the plant on the dry side. It won’t tolerate wet soil when temperatures are below 60°F.
